Valentina Weddings & Events is a luxury wedding planning and design company based in North County San Diego and Lake Como, Italy. Founded in 2016 by Valentina Porro, the company produces a limited number of weddings each year for couples who value understated elegance, a remarkable guest experience and flawless execution.
Valentina began her career in luxury hotels, venues and catering before opening her own company. That background is her greatest asset. She knows how a property operates behind the scenes, which questions to ask before a contract is signed, and how to build a production schedule that works for the couple, the guests and every creative partner.
A beautifully designed wedding must always be paired with a flawless execution to become a memorable event. For this reason, design and logistics are planned together from the first conversation.
Where We Plan Weddings in San Diego
We produce weddings throughout San Diego County, including Rancho Santa Fe, La Jolla, Del Mar, Encinitas, Coronado and we produce weddings in Italy. Our celebrations have taken place at the most exclusive resorts such a Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa, The Lodge at Torrey Pines, Alila Marea Beach Resort the San Diego Museum of Art as well as on private estates. Each setting asks for a different approach. An oceanfront resort, a museum and a private estate have very different requirements for access, power, catering, sound and timing. Knowing these in advance allows us to resolve issues before they arise.
Many of our couples host guests for two to four days. We plan the welcome evening, the wedding day and the farewell gathering as one experience, so that each event has its own character and the weekend flows with ease.

Every visual element such as florals, tablescapes, paper goods, and lighting, is considered and cohesive. We blend classic sensibility with modern aesthetic, creating environments that feel both timeless yet current.
Design isn't just what you see, it's what you feel. And it should feel like you.
Drawing inspiration from my European heritage and upbringing along Lake Como, I bring a perspective shaped by centuries of artistry, craftsmanship, and the understanding that true elegance is never loud. It's in the proportion of a floral arrangement, the weight of linen, the intentional pause between moments.
